Emma's Bagel Cafe, a beloved local establishment, was a quaint and cozy spot known for its freshly baked bagels and warm atmosphere. Unfortunately, after serving the community for several years, Emma's Bagel Cafe has permanently closed its doors. Offering a wide selection of bagels, including kosher options, as well as delectable omelettes, cream cheese spreads, and salads, it was a go-to destination for breakfast or a quick bite. The cafe also prided itself on its friendly and attentive staff, ensuring a positive dining experience for all customers. While Emma's Bagel Cafe may no longer be in operation, its legacy continues to live on in the hearts and memories of the local community.

Diverse menu but no barista :( We enjoyed the Engel bagel deluxe sandwich on an egg bagel and some potatoes on the side. I really enjoyed the sandwich.
Emma’s is not like just a bagel place like its name. It serves a variety of selections on the menu besides bagels.
LOX omelette was great! The lox cooked too much during the process ( I assumed) making it too dry, but it still was very flavorful and yummy. The warm toasted bagel melted the cream cheese perfectly and the hash browns had a wonderful crisp to them. definitely a good breakfast/brunch place. Highly recommended! 5/5
The food was excellent, and the employees were extremely pleasant and helpful!
Quaint little bakery and food place in Skokie. Although its called Emma's Bagel Café, and it does have plenty of different bagels you can ask for, I somehow expected more specialty or better pre combined versions.
Had the apple cinnamon Belgian waffle, and while it was fantastic the fact it was just one waffle for over ten dollars is not worth the value.
Haven't had the chance to try the rest of the menu, but if the portion sizes are better for the prices then I could be convinced to come back.
Overall if the other portions are better I'd definitely recommend others.
We were able to get a table on Sunday morning. We just got 2 bagels toasted with cream cheese and my wife and I split a blueberry muffin. Everything was just perfect. I love finding places that are amazing when my wife and I visit Chicago. Thank you. We will come again when we come to town if we're able
Undoubtedly the best bagel and Kosher place in all of Chicagoland. Do yourself a favor and only order food specific to the place, no reason to order an Italian dish in a Kosher restaurant!! I am a huge bagel person and I come here just for that.
You'll stand at the counter to order from a large menu, pay, then sit at a table. The drinks are largely self-serve, and when we visited, they didn't have a barista for lattes, etc. Staff brings your food as it's ready and it is delish!
They are very accommodating too. There was a misunderstanding when ordering one of our parties' food, but Emma's staff exchanged it with kindness and efficiency.
My favorite restaurant
Huge menu, something for everyone, downtown like atmosphere, great food. What's not to like?
